From Break to Being Broken

It is amazing to me what God can do in a day. He can show you things that would otherwise take you 20 years to learn. I can definitely feel Him stirring in my heart. I know that he is calling me higher..and as I meditate on this fact, I see my sin clearer and clearer. I sin like every 5 minutes no lie. I can be thinking about Jesus one second and my eyes get off him and BAM, I say something or do something un-Christ-Like. I am encouraged by what he is doing in my life. I am encouraged that He knows all the things that I desire and His desire is for me to have every good and perfect thing.

I am already sleep deprived and I knew once I got here I would hit the ground running. I feel like I've been here a week already and it's been a day, haha. I have been going just about every hour though..but it has been really good. Isn't it bad that anytime anyone says were going out to do an "activity" my stomach drops. I immediately go back to my teen years and all the "activities" that ended tragically but God surprised me! Last night we went to this place called "Fired Up" and painted coffee mugs. I was thinking oh my gosh mine is going to be awful but when I was finished I was actually proud. I'm still not the next Piccaso but I did a pretty good job haha. Then we played Nertz, a card game, and I did well. It was just exciting to feel good at something!! Today has been good too just really busy. The new students arrive tomorrow and you would know the one new girl we are getting is on my hall, haha, across from me. It's cool though, a new year, a new opportunity. I heard this Christian Rapper tonight named "Flame." It was the best rap I've ever heard..straight up Scripture. I'm really excited. My friend ALO is going to burn me a CD (Ashlin, I think you'd like Him). All in all it's been an exciting first couple of days..and I promised myself this wouldn't be long and it already is. haha.
