I've never heard anyone in the world say that Monday was their favorite day of the week. With good reason, Monday is the kick start of the week. One of the busiest days of the whole week and just plain hard after a relaxing weekend. Today all the returning students check-in. It is very exciting but also a bit stressful. Tomorrow classes will begin and if you can believe it I already have homework, given to me via e-mail. You'd think teachers could ALTEAST wait until class starts to assign work.
I had a fantastic Sunday, other than worrying about my family gone awall. I was really encouraged that God is indeed here, and he sees my every need. Even though there is times of crazy business and even rudeness, God is here and GOD is looking out for me. I think I finally found a Church here, friends! PRAISE THE LORD. It has been a 4 year journey..literally but as I stepped through those glass doors, I felt at home. Words cannot describe the joy in my heart because although if often feels so lonely here, having a Church that I feel at home at is so nice. It doesn't replace anything from home, or my family :( but it does Help and that was encouraging for me! I feel as though it really is going to be a good year. I am just going to have to be disciplined about taking care of myself and having "me" time. I am going to have to determine not to be overcome with other's burdens..but to pray, lift them up, and leave them there with Jesus. I miss my best friend, I miss my dog but I am going to have a GREAT year. Besides, I will be home in a couple of weeks to visit ;). God is sooo good despite how I feel, He really is. I am so thankful that He is God and I am not. He knows what he is doing. He has such a marvelous plan..and our view is so skewed..SO often. I encourage you my friends:
Keep your guard up. You're not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It's the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won't last forever. It won't be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and GLORIOUS PLANS they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. HE gets the last word; yes, He does.-1 Peter 5:10MSG
